About the Role
The incumbent will supervise daily construction activities on site, support the Project Engineer/Manager with progress reporting, and oversee testing and commissioning of engineering services such as water supply, wastewater, electrical, fire‑fighting, HVAC, medical gases, data networking, and security systems. They will maintain site diaries, verify compliance with contract specifications, ensure O&M manuals are available, coordinate utility relocations with authorities, conduct field inspections of setting‑out, and measure and value contractor work. • Supervise day‑to‑day construction activity on site and assist Project Engineer/Manager with daily progress reports and site information. • Oversee tests on engineering services installations such as water supply, wastewater management, electrical services, firefighting system, HVAC, medical gases storage and delivery, voice and data networking, building security and surveillance, and any other required services. • Oversee commissioning of engineering services systems and ensure integrated functioning. • Maintain site diaries and testing results. • Verify compliance of installed engineering services, systems, and controls with the Works Contract agreement and ensure O&M manuals are available. • Liaise with authorities for relocation and supply of utilities required for hospital operation. • Conduct field inspections of the contractor’s setting out relative to contract reference points, lines, and levels. • Measure and value the contractor’s work output and verify statements.

What You Bring
The role requires a graduate civil engineer with at least eight years of on‑site experience, or a diploma civil engineer with at least twelve years of on‑site experience, specifically in construction of hospitals, hotels, or institutional buildings. Experience in renovation and rehabilitation of building works is also required. • Graduate civil engineer with at least 8 years of on‑site experience in construction of hospitals, hotels, or institutional buildings. • Diploma civil engineer with at least 12 years of on‑site experience in construction of hospitals, hotels, or institutional buildings. • Experience in renovation and rehabilitation of building works.
