About the Role

The Lead Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for driving sales of complex energy infrastructure contracts to municipal, university, school, and hospital clients, leveraging deep knowledge of government contract vehicles. The role includes influencing buying decisions, representing the company at industry events, managing the sales pipeline, and guiding the development of competitive proposal responses while coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors. The executive will also mentor junior staff, act as a customer advocate throughout project phases, and maintain post‑sale relationships to foster additional business opportunities. • Consultatively sell energy infrastructure solutions to MUSH sector executives via ESPC and other long‑term contracts. • Educate customers on government ESPC processes, identify new business opportunities, and influence buying decisions. • Represent NORESCO at conferences, trade associations, and industry events as an ESCO leader. • Manage the sales funnel, qualify opportunities, and achieve annual sales targets. • Lead development of competitive RFP/RFQ responses and coordinate capture themes with internal teams. • Build relationships with subcontractors and coordinate internal strategy sessions for government opportunities. • Mentor junior Account Executives and serve as a customer advocate throughout sales and implementation phases. • Maintain post‑sale account relationships to drive additional business and support state/local goals.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, seven years of experience selling solutions to the MUSH sector, and five years of experience engaging C‑level executives. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, along with ten or more years of experience in MUSH ESPC, energy management consulting, or design‑build markets. Familiarity with public procurement, building conservation measures, water and wastewater markets, and commercial/industrial sectors is required, and experience mentoring sales representatives is valued. • Required: High School Diploma, 7+ years selling to MUSH, energy consulting or design‑build markets; 5+ years selling to C‑level. • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years MUSH ESPC experience, experience presenting to city councils/school boards, knowledge of public procurement, building conservation, water/wastewater, commercial & industrial markets, mentoring experience.
