About the Role
The Community Manager reports to the Regional Manager and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a housing community’s operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, finance, administration and risk management. Acting as an on‑site leader, the manager ensures compliance with Asset Living policies, safety standards and fair‑housing regulations while driving resident satisfaction and financial performance. • Recruit, hire, train, coach and evaluate on‑site staff while maintaining compliance with company standards. • Create and manage weekly/daily schedules for office and maintenance teams and address performance issues promptly. • Develop annual operating budgets, monitor rent collections, vendor invoices and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Design and execute yearly marketing and leasing strategies to maximize occupancy and resident retention. • Respond to resident complaints, coordinate resident events, and implement retention programs such as newsletters and promotions. • Oversee administrative reporting, emergency response, and maintenance operations to ensure property safety and appearance. • Conduct regular property inspections, manage vendor bids, and supervise repairs, construction and rehabilitation projects.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least a high‑school diploma (a bachelor’s degree is preferred) and relevant housing‑industry experience; certifications such as Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) are advantageous. The role requires proficiency with on‑site software, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA requirements. The position demands regular on‑site attendance, the ability to work overtime, weekends and nights for emergencies, and physical capabilities such as lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders and navigating confined spaces. Reliable transportation is required to meet on‑call emergency responsibilities. • Possess a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), 1–4 years of housing experience, and preferably CAM or ARM certification. • Demonstrate proficiency with property‑management software, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations. • Meet physical demands including lifting 25 lb, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and being available for on‑call emergencies.
