Perform mechanical maintenance and support operations at Avonmouth and Teignmouth terminals.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role involves delivering mechanical maintenance across both terminals, completing planned and preventative maintenance, conducting daily inspections, and identifying and rectifying faults. It also supports operational duties such as plant sampling, cleaning, and unloading cement trains or vessels, and provides holiday and sickness cover as well as deputising for weighbridge staff. • Perform mechanical maintenance at Avonmouth and Teignmouth terminals. • Complete planned and preventative maintenance according to schedules. • Conduct daily inspections, identify faults, and rectify them promptly. • Assist with plant sampling, cleaning, and unload cement trains or vessels. • Provide holiday and sickness cover for plant operators and weighbridge staff. • Follow safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and use lock‑off procedures. • Accurately record accidents, near misses, and maintenance activities. • Provide out‑of‑hours breakdown cover and authorize shutdowns when needed.

What You Bring
Candidates need experience as a mechanical fitter or in a similar maintenance role, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and a proactive health‑and‑safety mindset.
