About the Role
As an Arcus Maintenance Technician you will ensure client sites remain fully operational by travelling to various locations, performing repairs, maintenance tasks, and defect resolutions while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Key duties include delivering quality first‑time fixes, providing excellent customer service, and independently handling a range of trades such as patch plastering, carpentry, floor coverings, wall tiling, lock changes and general repairs. • Deliver quality workmanship and first‑time fixes • Provide excellent customer service • Independently manage repairs across multiple trades (plastering, carpentry, tiling, etc.)

What You Bring
Arcus FM is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the Edinburgh area to join a dynamic facilities maintenance team delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple client sites. The ideal candidate has time‑served experience across multiple trades, a full valid UK driver’s licence, confidence working independently and in customer‑facing settings, and is comfortable using handheld IT for work management and documentation. Strong communication skills, reliability, a solid work ethic, and a good understanding of health and safety regulations are essential; NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications and experience in a multi‑site retail environment are desirable. • Time‑served multi‑trade maintenance experience • Full valid UK driver’s licence • Ability to work independently and in customer‑facing roles • Comfortable using handheld IT for documentation • Strong communication, reliability and work ethic • Knowledge of health & safety standards • Desirable: NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC in building or maintenance trade • Desirable: Experience in multi‑site retail maintenance

The position offers a competitive salary of £29,829 per annum, a company van with a fuel card for personal use, door‑to‑door pay, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, enhanced overtime rates, and an annual performance‑based bonus of up to 4%.
