About the Role

The Finance & Accounting team is hiring an Accounting Intern who will gain practical experience supporting accounts payable and general accounting functions. The role emphasizes accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, providing mentorship and exposure to professional accounting practices. Intern responsibilities include assisting with bank reconciliations, processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring proper documentation such as W‑9s and 1099s. Additional duties cover invoice tracking, expense reporting in Concur, month‑end close activities, and participation in ad‑hoc accounting projects. • Perform bank reconciliations and account reviews • Process vendor invoices, maintain vendor files, and reconcile statements • Collect and verify documentation such as W‑9s and 1099s • Track invoices, code entries, and resolve variances with other departments • Assist with filing, expense reporting using Concur, and generate simple reports • Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries • Participate in ad‑hoc accounting projects with the finance team • Work 40 hours per week onsite in the Chicago office at 55 E. Monroe St.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an associate’s degree in Accounting (a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred) and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
