About the Role

The Commercial Title Examiner is responsible for locating and researching real‑estate ownership records, including mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements, while also understanding the applicable legal instruments such as taxes. Core duties include examining title searches and instrument copies, clearing title problems, preparing and issuing title commitments, and performing take‑down examinations for the company’s affiliated home‑building division. What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, three years of commercial title examination experience, and practical knowledge of federal, state, and local real‑estate regulations. Preferred experience includes DataTrace and strong proficiency with the Land Records Information System and title policy writing. Physical requirements include regular on‑site attendance, the ability to work more than eight hours in confined spaces, lift over 50 lb, and operate vehicles and construction equipment as needed. • Hold a high school diploma or higher and at least 3 years of commercial title examination experience. • Preferable experience with DataTrace and strong knowledge of real‑estate regulations. • Proficient in Land Records Information System and title policy writing. • Meet physical requirements: >8 hours onsite, ability to lift >50 lb, operate vehicles and construction equipment.
