Associate Manager - HX & Valves

About the Role

The role focuses on commodity and account management as well as strategic sourcing. The incumbent will oversee supplier selection, contract negotiation and will partner with internal clients to identify and improve sourcing needs. You will work across the entire product development life cycle, from design through implementation, testing, release and sustaining. The position demands leading cost-reduction programs, developing category strategies, aligning sourcing with product roadmaps, managing supply-chain risks and maintaining strong supplier relationships while tracking performance metrics. • Contribute to all phases of the product development life cycle, from design to release and sustaining. • Lead cost‑reduction initiatives by identifying productivity opportunities, conducting spend analysis and applying value‑engineering. • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals, including supplier segmentation, risk assessment and market intelligence. • Collaborate with engineering, operations and finance to align sourcing strategies with product roadmaps and cost targets. • Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks through diversification, contingency planning and sustainability initiatives. • Build and maintain supplier relationships via performance reviews, contract negotiations and collaborative improvement programs. • Drive supplier selection, onboarding and development to ensure a resilient, high‑performing supply base. • Monitor category performance metrics such as savings, on‑time delivery and total cost of ownership.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a B.E/B.Tech degree from a premier institute, with an MBA preferred, and bring 12-16 years of category-management experience, ideally within the HVAC sector. The role requires global stakeholder collaboration, strategic thinking, excellent communication, knowledge of engineering drawings, cost-reduction techniques and strong program-management abilities. • Bachelor’s in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) from a premier institute; MBA preferred. • 12‑16 years of category management experience, preferably in HVAC. • Ability to work with global stakeholders across multiple countries. • Strong strategic thinking, communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of engineering drawings, cost reduction, value analysis and negotiation. • Proven program and change‑management capabilities with a results‑driven mindset.
