About the Role
The Advisor will support all business areas by delivering HSE plans that ensure site compliance and foster a proactive safety culture. Key duties include environmental monitoring, participation in HSE steering meetings, claims management, regular review of risk assessments and policies, integration of HSE principles into daily operations, leading investigations of incidents, analysing performance data, liaising with regulatory and insurance agencies, providing training, collaborating with site teams to execute improvement plans, and supporting the HSE budget and procurement processes. • Ensure compliance with local health, safety and environmental legislation and company policies. • Conduct environmental monitoring and measurements. • Participate in HSE steering meetings and safety committees. • Manage claims and lead investigations of accidents, near‑misses and environmental incidents. • Review and update risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR and DSE procedures. • Deliver HSE training for staff, contractors and visitors. • Collaborate with site leadership, production, engineering, logistics and purchasing to implement HSE improvement plans. • Support HSE budgeting, process purchase orders and resolve invoice queries. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current HSE legislation and risk assessment practices.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and have experience in a similar HSE role. A solid understanding of local health, safety and environmental legislation, risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR and DSE regulations is required. Desirable but not essential qualifications include manufacturing experience, a NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate, and knowledge of PPC and UK packaging regulations. • Hold NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and relevant HSE experience. • Desirable: manufacturing experience, NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate, knowledge of PPC and UK packaging regulations.
