About the Role

• Lead delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary building projects across health, education, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, sports and data centre sectors in Australia. • Provide technical leadership and governance for electrical building services design, ensuring compliance with Australian codes, standards and best‑practice engineering principles. • Review design calculations, specifications, models and documentation to drive innovation, excellence and coordinated outcomes. • Build and maintain trusted client relationships to support business development and secure a pipeline of high‑profile projects. • Mentor and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and a high‑performance culture. • Contribute to AECOM’s Building Services capability by shaping local and national strategy, team growth and capability development.

What You Bring

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with ~20 years of consultancy experience delivering complex building services projects. • Chartered status (CPEng) with Engineers Australia or equivalent, and eligibility for state professional registration. • Deep technical expertise in electrical design and thorough knowledge of Australian codes, standards and regulations. • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills with ability to engage clients, contractors, consultants and senior project teams. • Proven track record in project and commercial management of high‑profile, technically challenging projects. • Demonstrated leadership, emotional intelligence and ability to nurture a high‑performing technical team. • Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or Negative Vetting 1) preferred.
