About the Role
The Superintendent 2 will plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity, overseeing material, equipment, and people while ensuring complete documentation and meeting project goals for timely, profitable completion. This role operates within defined authority limits, consulting supervisors as needed, and offers a career path to Superintendent 3. • Lead safety culture, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed. • Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow. • Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for project portions. • Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work. • Coordinate and control the project site. • Lead daily stand‑up and weekly trade meetings. • Attend and contribute to progress and OAC meetings. • Create, manage, and adjust the project schedule with the Project Manager. • Track and monitor project budget and costs using the PM system. • Communicate key information to owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments. • Maintain project filing, documentation, drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks. • Approve and record unit cost data for weekly and daily reports. • Evaluate self‑perform work progress and make adjustments. • Manage material and equipment needs for the project. • Support MOC and DLSC procurement and approval processes. • Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for self‑perform operations. • Approve timecards to ensure accurate hours and cost codes. • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC standards, and external resources. • Supervise pre‑punch activities and coordinate closeout with owner, architect, and authorities. • Participate in project pre‑plan development and adjust throughout the lifecycle. • Partner with field leadership to establish staffing for the assigned project. • Work with project management to identify schedule and cost impacts of changes. • Participate in negotiations with owners and architects for project changes. • Prepare and present for project review meetings, including monthly reviews. • Attend project buy‑out meetings with subcontractors and vendors. • Apply contract terms and conditions for owners and subcontractors. • Identify and recruit top talent. • Promote diversity and inclusion and enforce non‑discrimination policies. • Manage fairly complex stand‑alone projects from start to finish. • Oversee management, scheduling, production, safety, and quality on project portions. • Identify, understand, and actively manage project risks. • Identify problems and recommend solutions for team implementation. • Manage deliverables from internal resources such as IPS and logistics. • Participate in project pursuits and negotiations. • Deliver effective presentations (intermediate). • Build relationships that transcend a single project. • Use scheduling software (intermediate). • Manage budgets, maximize profitability, and generate future work through relationships. • Perform layout tasks (intermediate). • Assess document changes and their impact on the schedule. • Collaborate within internal and external teams.

What You Bring
• Perform work accurately, completely, and on time. • Communicate verbally and in writing at an intermediate level. • Use MS Office proficiently (intermediate). • Apply construction management fundamentals to projects. • Understand project processes and their role in successful completion. • Use project management and accounting software (intermediate). • Use JE Dunn construction technology (intermediate). • Apply Lean processes and philosophy (intermediate). • Know specific trades and scopes of work (intermediate). • Understand self‑perform and labor productivity (intermediate). • Understand organizational structure and available resources. • Know crane flagging and rigging (intermediate). • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s in construction management or engineering preferred. • Experience: 5+ years construction, 3+ years field supervision; Lean principles experience preferred. • Working environment: Valid unrestricted driver’s license; lift up to 50 lb; may require travel/relocation; exposure to extreme conditions; willingness to work non‑traditional hours; frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling; occasional sitting and computer work.
