About the Role

Lead multiple large‑scale transition and new‑product introduction (NPI) projects within the plant while coordinating with global teams. Provide technical leadership to the manufacturing engineering team and facilitate 8D problem‑solving, investigation, and troubleshooting. Present findings to internal and external customers and ensure individual and group project objectives are met. Prepare and review documents such as cost estimates, capital appropriation requests, project schedules, design, process, and equipment specifications. Produce and present technical reports and conclusions to leadership. Incorporate external trends into relevant projects and create, review, and update process and technical work instructions for the manufacturing engineering function. Participate in site development activities representing the ME function, including continuous improvement initiatives, employee engagements, and site metrics. Act as technical lead for new product transitions and program development using PROLaunch tools. Facilitate or lead process and equipment implementation changes in the plant with PROLaunch, and introduce and sustain Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Obtain, communicate, and integrate the needs of plants, OEMs, end users, and other functional groups. Direct and support engineering resources to achieve timely project completion. Execute technical deliverables within the PROLaunch development process and apply established engineering processes for project requirements and continuous improvement. Conduct design‑for‑manufacturability reviews with cross‑functional IPT members tied to program activities. Apply statistical and analytical tools for effective problem‑solving and project execution. Develop and implement process requirements, specifications, and guidelines, and benchmark other sites for best practices and improvement opportunities. Coach, mentor, and train manufacturing engineering team members. Support Industry 4.0 deployment as the operations/manufacturing technology leader for MES implementation. Work with site leadership to develop strategies, goals, objectives, and resource plans for digital transformation of operational processes. • Lead large-scale transition and NPI projects across plant and global teams. • Provide technical leadership to manufacturing engineering. • Facilitate 8D problem solving and troubleshoot issues for internal and external customers. • Prepare and review cost estimates, capital requests, schedules, and specifications. • Create and update process and work instructions for manufacturing engineering. • Represent ME function in site development activities (CI, employee engagement, metrics). • Serve as technical lead for new product transitions using PROLaunch tools. • Drive process and equipment implementation changes with PROLaunch. • Introduce and sustain Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and support Industry 4.0 deployment. • Gather and communicate requirements from plants, OEMs, end users, and other groups. • Direct and support engineering resources to meet project objectives. • Execute technical deliverables within the PROLaunch development process. • Conduct design for manufacturability reviews with cross-functional IPTs. • Apply statistical and analytical tools for problem solving and project completion. • Develop and implement process requirements, specifications, and guidelines. • Benchmark best practices across sites and identify improvement opportunities. • Coach, mentor, and train manufacturing engineering team members. • Collaborate with site leadership on digital transformation strategy and resource planning.
