About the Role

The manager creates, manages, and leads the deployment of EH&S programs at each site, communicates the company’s safety culture, identifies potential loss exposures, evaluates risk, and develops corrective plans that are audited for effectiveness. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating standard operating procedures for safe work practices, coordinating regulatory inspections and minimizing deficiencies, managing permits, logs, and all related documentation, and reviewing accidents to conduct field audits and enforce corrective actions. The role also supports workers‑compensation claim tracking and injury management, ensures compliance with corporate and regulatory record‑keeping requirements, participates in site inspections and third‑party audits, and travels to corporate and management offices as needed. Additional duties encompass overseeing the online safety training platform to meet OSHA standards, collaborating with other service lines and global EH&S teams, developing standards for environmental issues such as asbestos and indoor air quality, and representing EH&S topics in new‑business presentations. Desired qualifications include a BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related fields, at least five years of EHS experience, preferred CSP or CIH certification, strong systems‑management and auditing skills, and proficiency in U.S. OH&S legislation. • Lead and roll out EH&S programs across all U.S. sites. • Promote and embed the company’s safety culture and operating philosophies. • Assess potential loss scenarios, devise mitigation plans, and audit their effectiveness. • Create and keep current SOPs for safe work practices and equipment training. • Schedule and liaise with regulatory agencies to conduct inspections and resolve deficiencies. • Maintain permits, logs, and all EH&S documentation for compliance purposes. • Analyze accidents, perform field audits, and manage corrective action plans. • Oversee workers’ compensation claim processes and coordinate injury rehabilitation. • Ensure adherence to corporate and governmental EH&S record‑keeping standards. • Conduct site and third‑party audits to verify compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Manage the online safety training portal to satisfy OSHA and industry requirements. • Partner with service lines and global EH&S to implement cross‑functional initiatives. • Establish standards for handling asbestos, fuel‑oil tanks, indoor air quality, mold remediation, and water intrusion. • Represent EH&S considerations in new‑business presentations and client meetings.
