About the Role

Apply fundamental mechanical or electrical principles and physics to designs. Complete basic engineering investigations and tasks as assigned. Collaborate with experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. Participate as a team member, help define/refine methods, and actively contribute towards team goals. • Apply mechanical/electrical principles and physics to design tasks. • Conduct basic engineering investigations and assigned tasks. • Collaborate with senior engineers to provide follow‑up assistance. • Contribute to team methods, goals, and daily project meetings. • Execute design, analysis, and test‑setup activities under senior guidance. • Advance projects through the current design phase (development or qualification). • Perform breadboarding and soldering for circuit construction. • Maintain electrical and laboratory safety standards. • Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • design engineering
  • test setup
  • breadboarding
  • soldering
  • safety standards
  • project development

What You Bring

Ability to read electrical schematics. Execute design, analysis, and testing/test setup tasks based on direction from Senior Engineers. Help the team progress through the current Design Phase of an active project (Development or Qualification). Participate in daily project team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks. Must be enrolled and at least a Junior in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or BS Engineering Technology. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round). Understanding of electrical and lab safety. Mechanical applicants should understand basic mechanical and dynamic principles and be able to read technical drawings. Electrical applicants need basic circuit understanding (e.g., voltage divider, pull‑up resistor, diode). Experience with breadboarding or soldering for circuit construction is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to convey technical information to Senior Engineers. The ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams is essential. A genuine passion for exploration, learning, and pushing the boundaries of current knowledge is expected. • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical dynamics and basic circuit concepts. • Be enrolled as at least a junior in a relevant engineering program with a GPA ≥ 2.8. • Communicate technical information effectively in written and verbal form. • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning.
