About the Role

The incumbent will analyze requirements, create functional and design specifications, and lead the full software lifecycle—from coding and integration to unit, automation, and performance testing. Responsibilities also include managing deployment, administration of Autodesk applications, and recommending upgrades to improve system performance. Technical leadership is a key component, with duties such as providing effort estimations, allocating tasks, mentoring team members, and collaborating with architects, DevOps, and support teams to define secure, scalable, and maintainable architecture. The engineer will also participate in risk identification, mitigation, and coordination of software installations. • Research, design, and develop computer/network software and utility programs. • Analyze user needs and create functional, design, and test specifications. • Lead coding, integration, unit, automation, and performance testing efforts. • Provide technical guidance, effort estimates, task allocation, and mentorship to the development team. • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and support teams to define secure, scalable architecture. • Recommend and implement software upgrades to improve system performance and response time. • Manage deployment and administrative activities of Autodesk applications on application servers. • Identify and mitigate architecture‑related risks and coordinate software installations. • Apply Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, code reviews, and documentation. • Mentor junior developers and drive continuous improvement of software quality. • Allow partial telecommuting and provide health, financial, wellness, and time‑off benefits.
