About the Role
CoStar provides real‑time, verified commercial real‑estate data that helps clients identify opportunities and make informed decisions. The Analytics team builds customer‑facing Real Estate Analytics products, creating data‑intensive applications that turn extensive research data into fast, reliable, and intuitive platforms. The engineer will design, build, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable applications while taking full ownership from development through production support. Collaboration with engineers, product owners, designers, and leadership is essential, as is influencing technical architecture and advocating for continuous improvement and new technologies. • Design, build, test and deploy scalable, reusable and maintainable applications handling large data volumes. • Take full ownership of work from development and testing to deployment and production support. • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and leadership. • Serve as a trusted team member for technical architecture, design, and code decisions. • Advocate for technical and non‑technical evolution, exploring new technologies, tools, and best practices. • Gain deep understanding of CoStar’s business and analytics products.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, demonstrate a strong commitment to prior employers, and possess at least ten years of professional software development experience. Required skills include object‑oriented programming, modern server‑side languages and frameworks such as C#/.NET and Node, relational databases like SQL Server, and solid software development best practices including code reviews and source‑control tools like Git or TFS. Preferred experience includes cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and familiarity with NoSQL databases and modern front‑end frameworks such as JavaScript and React. These additional skills will enhance the team’s capability to deliver innovative analytics solutions. The position is open to candidates who are eligible to work full‑time in the United States, but CoStar cannot provide visa sponsorship.
