About the Role
The Trade Foreman 2 supports construction activities for routine and non‑routine projects, ensuring work is performed efficiently and effectively by the crew. This role involves completing tasks personally while supervising a crew as a working foreman, all in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values. • Participate in safety culture, mentor others, and commit to an injury‑free environment. • Use tools to complete assigned project tasks. • Track and report labor units and hours, submit timecards. • Maintain proper care and quantity of tools and equipment for the project. • Lead and monitor crew safety and security procedures. • Establish crew sizes aligned with production goals. • Document activities, productions, and crew sizes. • Communicate with suppliers and coordinate delivery of supplies to the jobsite. • Maintain established quality levels for duties. • Coordinate other trade work within the assigned scope. • Participate in safety activities such as toolbox talks, job hazard analysis, site analysis, and SIMS reporting. • Provide on‑the‑job guidance and share expertise to support team learning. • Coordinate inspections for the assigned scope of work. • Document and update punch lists. • Manage subcontractor crews for portions of projects or small projects. • Create, communicate, monitor, and achieve crew production goals. • Coordinate work for larger crews and other trade foremen. • Pre‑plan project components including crew size, schedule, materials, meetings, and manpower. • Coordinate usage of all construction resources, internal and external. • Create and implement safety plans, ensuring compliance via training and toolbox talks. • Control production costs by understanding project management systems, reports, and cost variables. • Support project quality assurance/quality control planning. • Apply and lead Lean principles on the jobsite, such as daily stand‑up meetings and pull planning. • Assist with Materials and Other Costs (MOC) and equipment analysis. • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications. • Assess and optimize project productivity. • Lead crews and achieve production goals. • Build relationships and collaborate within internal and external teams.

What You Bring
• Understand and achieve crew production goals. • Read and understand plans, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination drawings. • Perform work accurately, completely, and timely. • Communicate verbally and in writing at an intermediate level. • Proficient in Microsoft Office. • Understand organizational structure and available resources. • Apply Lean processes and philosophy. • Knowledge of self‑perform and labor productivity. • Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work. • Understand construction management methods. • Intermediate layout skills. • Intermediate crane flagging and rigging knowledge. • Acquire knowledge of productivity rates. • High School Diploma or GED. • Vocational/Technical degree in a related field (preferred). • Minimum 3 + years commercial construction experience. • Minimum 2 + years field supervision experience. • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. • May require travel periods. • Willingness to work non‑traditional hours to meet project needs. • Frequent activities: standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling. • Occasional activities: sitting, viewing computer screen.
