About the Role

The Construction Manager will oversee the construction of homes in assigned communities, ensuring quality control, cost management, and adherence to schedules from inception through move‑in. The role requires daily coordination of job sites, trade partners, and internal teams, conducting twice‑daily home walks, supervising pre‑construction and final meetings, and addressing inspector and trade‑partner issues to drive continuous improvement. • Oversee all construction activities from start to finish, including job site scheduling and trade‑partner supervision. • Conduct twice‑daily home walks to monitor progress, quality, and schedule compliance while optimizing profitability. • Lead pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings with trade partners and inspectors. • Negotiate cost‑effective solutions to inspector and trade‑partner issues and feed findings into Continuous Improvement Processes. • Manage daily trade‑partner communications, invoice approvals, and workflow efficiency through Build Pro. • Provide performance feedback on trade‑partner timeliness and attention to detail to the Lead Construction Manager. • Ensure job‑site cleanliness, safety, and compliance with state and federal building codes; maintain safety logs and conduct on‑site safety meetings. • Perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections as required by local, state, and federal regulations. • Approve and track change orders, purchase orders, and documentation throughout the construction process. • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, customer care, and management to resolve issues and maintain effective communication. • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including safety logs and inspection reports.

What You Bring

Candidates should have 3‑5 years of residential construction management experience, a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred), strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and related software. • Demonstrate technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction management software. • Hold a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance; ability to operate a motor vehicle and occasional construction equipment. • Meet physical requirements including lifting > 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working > 8 hours in a construction trailer environment. • Possess knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and blueprint reading.
