About the Role

The specialist conducts electrical analysis, provides technical input, and performs reviews to mitigate design risk. Responsibilities include identifying construction challenges, generating optimization opportunities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and codes. Key duties involve reviewing electrical designs for constructability, performing quantity takeoffs, and recommending construction sequencing and logistics. The role evaluates energy models, assesses drawings, specifications and shop drawings for code compliance, and proposes solutions to improve design and constructability. The specialist also guides resolution of non‑conformances, collaborates with internal and external teams, and coordinates with other disciplines such as structural, architectural, and fire protection. • Review electrical designs for constructability and code compliance. • Perform quantity takeoffs and advise on construction sequencing. • Evaluate energy models and project documentation. • Propose design optimizations and constructability improvements. • Provide guidance on non‑conformances and operational issues. • Build effective relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams (structural, architectural, MEP, etc.). • Meet physical demands of on‑site construction work, including climbing and lifting.
