System Technician - Surveillance and Hardware

About the Role

The role involves designing, managing and supporting CCTV installations across multiple sites, working closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and effective deployment. The technician will also provide hands‑on assistance to the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EIC) team, handling procurement, configuration of IT equipment and wireless network setup and troubleshooting, while maintaining documentation and adhering to company safety standards. Travel to various locations is required, with a company vehicle provided. • Design, manage and support multi‑site CCTV installations. • Coordinate with internal teams and contractors for timely deployment. • Provide hands‑on EIC support: procure, configure IT equipment and troubleshoot wireless networks. • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards. • Travel to sites as needed (company vehicle supplied).

What You Bring

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a motivated System Technician specializing in surveillance and hardware to support and deliver CCTV and IT infrastructure projects throughout its operations. Ideal candidates have proven experience with CCTV systems such as NX Witness, Hikvision and Vivotek, as well as solid knowledge of IT hardware, networking and configuration. Strong project coordination, communication and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities are essential. The position requires a current driver’s licence, willingness to travel to industrial environments, high attention to detail, customer focus, and excellent health and safety practices. Highly desirable attributes include advanced problem‑solving skills, previous work in the CCTV field, and specific expertise with NX Witness and imaging PCs.
