About the Role
The Relief Driver – CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and delivering prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhere to all state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects. Pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, proper loading, compaction, and disposal of waste are core duties. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate the collection truck safely along assigned routes and to disposal sites. • Use manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable material and address spills safely. • Clean vehicle components and waste residues on each disposal trip. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and participate in the ReSOP program. • Provide professional, courteous customer service and act with honesty. • Follow through on schedules and challenges, adhering to company policies. • Promote safety standards and avoid inappropriate risks. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts.

What You Bring
• Manage time effectively to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently. • Two years of prior commercial truck driving experience preferred. • Hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
