About the Role
Key responsibilities include acting as Design Lead for project elements, liaising with clients and the wider design team, managing junior engineers, and providing input to engineering budgets and programmes to meet project requirements. Our specialists develop projects from concept through operation, delivering multi‑year, multimillion‑dollar engineering and construction services for major rail and transit agencies, and offering analytical and strategic expertise at every stage. • Lead design of tunnelling project elements and coordinate with clients and the wider design team. • Mentor and manage junior engineers in the design of underground infrastructure. • Contribute to engineering budget and programme development to meet project requirements. • Work on flagship projects such as Snowdonia Cable Tunnel, London Power Tunnels, pumped‑storage schemes, and major road tunnels. • Design reinforced concrete structures to Eurocodes, including secant piles, capping beams, shaft linings, in‑situ elements and D‑Walls. • Apply geotechnical engineering principles to soil‑structure interaction for tunnelling works.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering (MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical or Tunnelling Engineering preferred) and is working toward or holds professional membership. Experience is required in reinforced concrete design to Eurocodes for underground structures like secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in‑situ concrete elements, D‑Walls, shafts and tunnels, with a solid understanding of geotechnical engineering principles. • Hold a civil or structural engineering degree (MSc/MEng preferred) and pursue professional membership.
