About the Role

• Set up trailers and construct temporary structures such as decks, stairs, and roofs between office units. • Install shelves, tool trailers/conexes, silt fences, straw bales, and configure the site according to the erosion control plan. • Hand‑set and assemble gang forms. • Assist journeymen and foremen with grade shooting and elevation tasks. • Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials. • Perform concrete and rough carpentry, including walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural decks, drywall, finish work, doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and cabinetry. • Build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and all organizational levels. • Work precisely, visualize objects from drawings, read plans, and operate equipment such as table saws, radial arm saws, sanders, drill presses, fall protection gear, rigging, and form systems. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice (levels I‑IV) to assist journeyman and foreman carpenters while learning the trade. This description is not exhaustive and duties may change without notice. • Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Be currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program. • Prefer prior construction site experience. • Demonstrate strong teamwork, positive attitude, customer service, attention to detail, and effective communication with active listening. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb; over 50 lb requires assistance or equipment. • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; the company cannot sponsor employment visas.
