Technical Support System Engineer AFC
L3 technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for AFC systems in Dubai.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role acts as the primary technical liaison for Level 3 and higher incidents, handling customer queries, fault investigations and ensuring contractual SLA compliance. Responsibilities also include providing technical support to users, coordinating on‑site activities, maintaining accurate records in a computerized maintenance management system, and supporting project management during progress and management reviews. • Provide engineering and maintenance services for AFC and telecom railway subsystems. • Serve as primary contact for Level 3+ technical queries, incidents, and failures. • Offer technical support to users/customers, investigate faults and meet SLA commitments. • Address technical concession requests and support internal/external progress reporting. • Supply technical data and analysis for the DRACAS process and coordinate on‑site support activities. • Manage technical publications, validate technical instructions, and close unsatisfactory feature reports. • Represent project management at customer progress and management reviews. • Perform shift and emergency duties while maintaining accurate maintenance records in a CMMS. • Assess AFC system performance regarding revenue protection, data accuracy, and equipment operation. • Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, and product safety procedures.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or possess equivalent experience. At least eight years of experience with ticketing/AFC systems and strong knowledge of Hitachi Rail GTS products are required, with Dubai Metro experience considered a plus. Excellent oral and written communication, troubleshooting, problem‑solving and analytical skills are essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess at least 8 years of experience with ticketing/AFC systems and knowledge of Hitachi Rail GTS products. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication, troubleshooting, problem‑solving and analytical skills. • Experience with Dubai Metro AFC system is a plus.
