About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic 2 at Behr, you will play a critical role in keeping equipment and processes running safely and efficiently. You will leverage strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical expertise to diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Using tools such as soldering equipment, drills, measuring devices, and hand tools, you will perform both reactive repairs and proactive preventative maintenance. You will work on a variety of equipment, including conveyors, liquid‑filling systems (pumps and valves), and packaging machines such as balers and tapers. Accurate documentation of work, adherence to safety protocols—including respirator use in designated areas—and ensuring equipment meets performance standards are essential parts of the role. • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues using troubleshooting expertise. • Perform reactive repairs and preventative maintenance on conveyors, liquid‑filling systems, and packaging machines. • Fabricate and repair components with shop equipment such as shears, brakes, grinders, and drill presses. • Troubleshoot, adjust, and optimize motor control circuits and variable frequency drives (VFDs). • Document all work accurately and maintain detailed records of completed tasks. • Promote a safe, organized environment and uphold high craftsmanship standards. • Read and interpret repair instructions and operate shop tools (grinders, band saws, drill presses).

What You Bring
• Proficient in electrical systems, general mechanical repairs, and welding/fabrication processes. • Experience with SAP transactions, Microsoft Office, and basic PC operations. • Operate a forklift safely (certification not required).
