About the Role

• Respond to scheduled and emergency residential service calls. • Diagnose and repair panels, circuits, breakers, lighting, outlets, GFCIs, switches, and related components. • Perform home warranty repairs and ensure homeowner satisfaction through quality service and clear communication. • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working in lived‑in homes. • Accurately complete service tickets, documenting repairs, parts used, and next steps. • Execute work in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards. • Keep company vehicles, tools, and personal protective equipment clean and functional. • Communicate effectively with service coordinators, homeowners, and field leadership. • Identify opportunities to improve system performance or customer satisfaction.

The role requires technical expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing residential electrical systems, including new builds and occupied homes. Candidates must have a solid understanding of NEC codes, prioritize safety, and deliver excellent customer service while representing IES Residential professionally. No formal education is required, but applicants should have 2‑4 years of relevant experience. A minimum of two years as a residential service electrician is required. Required qualifications include strong electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of NEC compliance, high‑quality workmanship, excellent communication, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred qualifications are a journeyman electrician license and bilingual (English/Spanish) ability. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, on ladders, or in confined spaces, and performing tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.
