About the Role

Our team builds CoStar's customer‑facing Real Estate Analytics products, combining big‑data, API/platform, and front‑end expertise to deliver fast, reliable, and intuitive data‑intensive applications for customers. The Technical Manager will lead an Agile full‑stack development team in San Diego, own the architecture and lifecycle of web‑based analytics applications, and collaborate with product owners, designers, and other technical leaders while working a 4‑day on‑site, 1‑day remote schedule. • Lead an Agile full‑stack team of 4‑6 engineers to deliver high‑performance technical solutions. • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative, can‑do engineering culture. • Influence application architecture and improve CI/CD pipelines. • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, reusable applications handling large data volumes. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, project plans, and schedules. • Deliver software projects on time, within budget, and to specification. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Agile teams on large initiatives. • Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and onboard top talent. • Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities and best practices. • Adopt an owner‑operator mindset, taking full ownership of products and platforms. • Act as the "Voice of the Customer" during product readiness reviews.

What You Bring

• Maintain deep knowledge of the commercial real‑estate industry and CoStar’s business model. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • 10+ years of professional software development experience. • 4+ years building large, distributed, API‑driven systems. • 3+ years leading Agile development teams. • Full‑stack expertise with C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, Web API, Node, etc. • Hands‑on experience with Kafka, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, S3, and Redis. • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. • Proven ability to build high‑performance software teams and negotiate consensus. • Design and implement complex application architectures on AWS (preferred). • Secure solutions in regulated enterprise environments (preferred). • Commercial Real Estate (CRE) knowledge is a plus (preferred).
