About the Role

The position is client‑facing with ownership for the successful delivery of dam engineering projects and programs, as well as business development and proposal preparation for new and existing clients. Technical support activities cover analyses, design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, risk assessments, site inspections, construction observation, and regulatory compliance for various hydraulic structures. • Build and maintain project schedules, managing resources, budgets, and risk. • Plan and manage field investigations for hydraulic structures and embankments. • Communicate with multidisciplinary teams on dam‑related projects. • Perform quality reviews of engineering deliverables such as calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff. • Travel part‑time to project sites as needed.

What You Bring

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Dams Engineering Project Manager for the East Region Dams Team. The role supports a variety of dam safety engineering projects across the East Region and may report from offices in Atlanta, Buffalo, Charlotte, Conshohocken, Franklin, Germantown, Latham, Tampa, or other locations. Responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial and technical management, change management, and project team management, including subcontractors. Sponsorship and relocation are not available for this position. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, possess a valid U.S. driver’s license, and be able to pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review. Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 annually. • B.S. in Civil Engineering with coursework in geotechnical, structural, or hydrology/hydraulics and 6+ years of related experience (or equivalent). • Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state or pass the PE exam within six months. • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review. • U.S. citizenship. • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred). • Willingness to travel to local and remote project sites. • Experience with dams and hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation, design, and construction. • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. • Completion of Managing AECOM Projects training and Project Manager certification. • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procore, or e‑Builder. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
