About the Role
The Airfield Operator role offers a broad scope of responsibilities, including the maintenance and upkeep of the aerodrome and surrounding grounds. Operators will conduct inspections, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and input data into aerodrome reporting tools. What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Certificate IV in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service) and possess a current open driver’s licence. Desirable qualifications include a Certificate III/IV in Horticulture, CASA Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certification, and a CASA/DASA endorsement for Queensland or New South Wales. Applicants must be Australian citizens able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance and demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes. • Hold a Certificate IV in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service) (mandatory). • Possess a current open driver’s licence and be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required). • Desirable: Certificate III/IV in Horticulture, CASA Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certification, CASA/DASA endorsement for QLD or NSW.
