About the Role
Primary objectives include designing, managing and supervising projects, acting as design team leader when required, preparing specifications, reports, drawings and cost budgets, and overseeing site workmanship and testing in accordance with industry guides. • Establish client brief, technical requirements, scope, cost plans and deliverables with the Group Leader. • Define service level and design duties for each project, aligning with fee structure. • Monitor engineering and CAD resource requirements for assigned projects. • Deliver concept through detailed design, tender, contract administration, on‑site supervision and project completion. • Coordinate multidisciplinary designs to ensure technical compliance and consistent quality. • Conduct regular in‑house design reviews and checks. • Track project progress, design variations and financial budgets. • Manage contract staff and third‑party appointments. • Maintain strong client and design team relationships to achieve high satisfaction and repeat business. • Pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients. • Lead design team coordination with other project disciplines when acting as design team leader. • Identify and complete personal training/CPD needs and support development of company working practices. • Implement and manage quality assurance systems and procedures on all projects. • Ensure designs comply with CDM regulations and company health‑and‑safety standards. • Produce CAD models and drawings, coordinating effectively with consultants. • Manage projects with limited supervision (desired).

What You Bring
The role seeks a personable self‑starter with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude, strong collaborative skills, and the ability to maintain excellent working relationships across teams and with clients while delivering technical excellence under pressure and tight deadlines. • Bring at least six years of experience in design and project management. • Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills. • Possess experience monitoring contract staff or third‑party appointments (desired). • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. • Hold a degree‑level education or equivalent. • Knowledge of project and design analysis software. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. • Have strong technical background in water distribution system design. • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software. • Have proven project engineering and project management experience.
