About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic ensures facilities operate smoothly and safely, combining hands‑on technical work with preventive maintenance. The role involves maintaining mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, conducting inspections, and supporting the operations team with interior upkeep and equipment moves. • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. • Conduct facility inspections and report conditions that could affect client operations. • Complete interior tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture, and moving furniture/equipment as needed. • Replace lighting and ballasts, and maintain HVAC systems by cleaning coils, changing filters, and replacing belts. • Carry out hazard assessments, keep work areas clean and safe, and complete required safety training. • Submit daily P‑card receipts, update work order status in real‑time using CMMS (e.g., 360 Facility), and perform vehicle safety inspections. • Escalate issues promptly to customers and management; attend required work and safety meetings.

What You Bring
The position is based on‑site in Flushing, New York (LaGuardia) with a salary of $86,985 per year. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to lift up to 50 lb. A basic knowledge of building systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are required; preferred experience includes 2+ years in facility maintenance and familiarity with CMMS platforms. • Valid state driver’s license with a clean record. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical maintenance tasks. • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; proficient with hand and power tools. • Strong communication skills for reporting and escalation; ability to work independently. • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests and commitment to safety procedures. • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations. • Experience with CMMS platforms, particularly 360 Facility or similar. • Technical certification or trade‑school training in relevant disciplines. • Knowledge of HVAC maintenance and repair. • Experience working in commercial office environments; familiarity with building codes and safety regulations. • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills; customer service experience. • Forklift or equipment operation certification.
