About the Role
• Conduct inspections and surveys of existing infrastructure, including Level 2 and Level 3 bridge inspections. • Lead and supervise site investigations using destructive and non‑destructive testing methods. • Diagnose inspection findings and develop remediation and management strategies. • Provide technical expertise on durability assessment, concrete mix design, and specification. • Contribute to business development by identifying project opportunities and writing proposals. • Manage and deliver projects while supporting graduate engineers and technical directors.

What You Bring
The Brisbane Bridges and Materials Technology group is expanding and seeks an experienced Structural Materials Engineer. The role will encompass a variety of technical and project‑management responsibilities, and will also support the development of graduate engineers. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering with 3+ years post‑graduation experience. • Work towards Chartered Engineer and RPEQ status. • Demonstrate knowledge of durability design and condition assessments. • Possess proven experience with current materials technologies (concrete, steel, timber) for infrastructure. • Show experience in asset integrity, inspection, diagnosis, and remediation of structures. • Have experience with Level 2 and Level 3 bridge inspection projects. • Exhibit strong communication, time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
