• Lead quality system on medium to large projects and implement the Quality Management Plan from start to final acceptance. • Establish and drive quality control initiatives, corrective actions, and manage quality events, punch lists, and non‑conformance notices. • Review project plans for quality requirements, oversee third‑party design/testing agencies, and manage subcontracts and suppliers with quality program reviews. • Coach and mentor field and project engineers, supporting their career development.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to serve Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City locations. The role requires interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, staying flexible, resourceful, proactive, and maintaining high professionalism and confidentiality. Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to lead and analyze the quality system on medium to large projects. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Mortenson’s postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days, and the company does not accept unsolicited agency communications without a valid agreement. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent) with at least three years of experience leading a project’s quality system. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, knowledge of construction law, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Primavera Unifier. • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9000, Malcolm Baldridge, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, or Mortenson’s Quality System. • Experience in issue management, inspection of work, and basic project‑management training; possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel >50% among Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City.
