About the Role

The Carpenter Helper assists skilled craftspersons under direct supervision, using a general knowledge of carpentry and hand and power tools. They help design, construct, erect, install, and repair structures, fixtures, and items made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The role involves seeking opportunities for improvement and learning safety hazards and proper tool usage. Work is performed in plant operations or construction jobsite settings. • Assist carpenter in laying out work • Assist carpenter with lifting, positioning, securing, and cutting of materials during installation • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment • Ensure work area remains stocked with materials needed • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, along with repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs, and good hand‑eye coordination.
