About the Role

The Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste service customers within an assigned territory. In addition, the role focuses on expanding revenue by selling the full suite of Republic Services products to current accounts. Daily activities include building long‑term loyalty, conducting contract re‑signs, handling cancellation requests according to escalation policies, and communicating pricing initiatives. The manager records all interactions in Salesforce, collaborates with operations to resolve service issues, and regularly reviews retention metrics with the Sales Manager. Participation in trade shows, chamber events, and other community activities helps increase company visibility. • Maintain and grow existing commercial/industrial waste service accounts. • Conduct contract renewals to extend relationships and improve profitability. • Respond to cancellation requests following established escalation policies. • Log all calls, meetings, and proposals in Salesforce each day. • Cross‑sell the full suite of Republic Services products to increase customer penetration. • Partner with operations to resolve service issues promptly. • Participate in trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and community activities to raise company visibility. • Meet weekly with Sales Manager to review retention metrics and progress toward goals.
