About the Role

In this role you will determine labor requirements, dispatch crews, and inspect work for compliance with building and safety codes. You will interpret plans and contract terms for staff and clients, prepare and negotiate contracts and change orders, and requisition supplies and materials needed to keep the project moving. Additionally, you will produce budget estimates, cost‑tracking reports, develop quality‑control programs, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues and investigate any accidents or delays. • Determine labor needs and dispatch crews to construction sites. • Inspect work for compliance with building and safety codes. • Interpret plans and contract terms for staff, clients, and stakeholders. • Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts, change orders, and revisions. • Requisition and coordinate delivery of supplies and materials. • Produce budget estimates, cost‑tracking, and progress reports. • Develop and enforce quality‑control programs. • Resolve work‑procedure issues, complaints, and construction problems with owners, contractors, and designers. • Investigate accidents or delays and ensure proper corrective actions. • Monitor team performance and implement improvements. • Plan, schedule, and control project scope, cost, and timeline. • Identify value‑engineering opportunities and manage material substitutions. • Lead stakeholder communication and maintain project documentation. • Drive permitting processes and ensure timely approvals. • Prepare project management plans, fee budgets, and cost/revenue projections.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have strong knowledge of construction codes, contract administration, and cost‑management practices, as well as effective written and oral communication skills. They must be able to monitor team performance, implement corrective actions, and identify value‑engineering opportunities that deliver savings while maintaining quality. Building strong relationships with peers, leaders, and clients, and a commitment to continuous self‑development are essential. The preferred candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture and brings at least seven years of progressive construction management experience, ideally on K‑12 or public sector projects. Experience in determining labor needs, negotiating contracts, preparing budgets, and managing project schedules and scopes is highly valued. • Minimum 7 years progressive construction management experience, preferably K‑12 or public projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture. • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets effectively. • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and self‑development skills.
