What You Bring

AECOM is seeking a Transit/Rail Engineering Intern for the summer of 2026 to support its growing Transit and Rail practice in North Carolina. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and planners on projects such as freight rail, light rail, streetcar, commuter rail, BRT, and multimodal corridor improvements. This role provides hands‑on experience in planning, design, and analysis of transit infrastructure. • Minimum: currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field, with at least two years of study completed. • Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
