About the Role

The Field Operations Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, communicating progress, risks and issues, and implementing programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer. This includes defining unit objectives, work plans and schedules, ensuring resources are available, and solving complex problems that have broad business impact. The manager directs field operations resources, defines staffing levels and budgets, mentors team members on high‑risk projects, and ensures the quality and contractual compliance of services delivered. Coordination with the program manager includes developing project plans, contributing to Program Management Reviews, producing status reports, supporting technical meetings, and assisting with proposals, transition activities and financial terms. • Serve as primary Government liaison at C‑SSE for the COSMOS contract. • Manage geographically dispersed Speritus task order field staff. • Develop and execute unit objectives, work plans and schedules. • Allocate resources, define staffing levels and control budgets. • Mentor and advise field team members on high‑risk projects. • Ensure quality, contractual, legal, regulatory and corporate compliance. • Collaborate with program manager on project planning and resource allocation. • Contribute to Program Management Reviews, status reports and manpower reporting. • Support technical interchange meetings, teleconferences and proposal development. • Provide 10+ years of satellite communications and telecommunications expertise.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an active Top Secret clearance with a TS/SCI eligibility, possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, and have at least ten years of relevant experience. Required credentials include PMP certification or equivalent, deep expertise in satellite communications and related disciplines, and experience with Wideband Satellite Operations Centers. Strong problem‑solving, risk management, communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential, as is a valid passport for 25‑30% international travel. • Maintain active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science and PMP certification. • Demonstrate strong problem‑solving, risk management and negotiation skills. • Travel internationally 25‑30% of the time; possess a valid passport.
