About the Role

In this role you will carry out routine maintenance and repairs on MTU rail products according to approved manuals and contract requirements. You will follow a maintenance schedule, perform both preventative and corrective tasks, and ensure all work is documented accurately. You will also engage in continuous improvement activities, propose enhancements, and attend customer meetings to confirm work completion. The position requires fault‑finding and repair using technical drawings and guides, proper recording of activities, active participation in HSQE management, and maintaining the cleanliness of the SGB onsite facilities. You will report parts usage and make effective use of various IT systems such as Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage and Outlook, while attending training courses to keep skills current. • Perform preventative, scheduled and corrective maintenance on MTU rail products per manuals and contracts. • Participate in continuous improvement and suggest enhancements to maintenance procedures. • Conduct planned maintenance tasks following operating instructions. • Attend customer meetings to obtain sign‑off for completed work. • Fault‑find and repair equipment using technical drawings and guides. • Complete accurate documentation for all work performed. • Contribute to HSQE processes and maintain site cleanliness. • Report parts usage and utilize IT systems such as Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Outlook.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an engineering background, NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or equivalent, and outstanding safety awareness. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required, and on‑the‑job training for SAP and the MTU Business Portal will be provided. Preferred attributes include a proactive attitude, strong organising skills, flexibility and the ability to work well with others. • Hold an engineering background with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and strong safety awareness. • Proficient in MS Office; receive on‑the‑job SAP and MTU Business Portal training. • Demonstrate proactive initiative, strong organisational skills and flexibility.
