About the Role

The role involves promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring robust quality systems, and managing the full lifecycle of projects from brief through design, procurement and construction while meeting programme milestones. It also requires overseeing budgets, highlighting risks and driving mitigations, and leading design and wider consultant teams to achieve project KPIs. • Promote safety and adhere to local health and safety regulations. • Maintain robust quality systems and ensure service excellence. • Manage project delivery from inception through design, procurement and construction, meeting program milestones. • Oversee project budgets, identify risks and implement mitigations. • Lead design and consultant teams collaboratively to meet responsibilities. • Achieve project key performance indicators by coordinating stakeholders. • Network, innovate and leverage Mace’s knowledge resources and centres of excellence. • Apply project management methodologies and understand construction sequencing. • Prepare accurate fee proposals, cost plans and commercial controls. • Incorporate carbon and sustainability considerations into project planning. • Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and internal teams. • Identify and implement improved working practices and service differentiation.

What You Bring

Candidates must have proven experience managing medium‑sized or complex projects, strong communication and presentation abilities, and expertise in budgeting and commercial control. A solid understanding of project management methodologies, construction sequencing, and stakeholder coordination is essential, as is advanced proficiency in negotiation and problem‑solving. Professional accreditation such as MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent, together with a CSCS card or local counterpart, is required. Additional assets include membership of bodies like RICS or CIOB, commercial and financial acumen, knowledge of sustainability and carbon considerations, and the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders across consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property sectors. • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills. • Hold relevant professional memberships and certifications (e.g., CSCS, RICS, CIOB).
