About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments and are responsible for transporting waste or recyclable containers to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Roles include residential collection, where drivers navigate congested streets and perform precise backing maneuvers, and roll‑off operations that involve loading large open‑top containers in tight industrial environments. • Operate vehicle according to WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service issues to the Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Attend required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Notify management of service interruptions such as closed streets, heavy receptacles, or safety hazards. • Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Fully empty all containers and leave the customer site clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check‑out procedures. • Assist fellow drivers as directed to meet customer needs. • Perform standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing tasks as required.

What You Bring
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the United States, and hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement. One year of commercial driving experience—or equivalent recent military driving experience—is required, while a high school diploma or GED is preferred. • Minimum 1 year of experience operating a CDL‑required vehicle or recent military driving experience. • Hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement. • Be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States. • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
