About the Role

The Regional Vice President of Operations leads a portfolio of residential properties by guiding Regional Managers and their teams, driving operational success, client satisfaction, and internal team strength. Serving as a liaison among executive leadership, clients, and on‑site operations, the RVP shapes and executes company strategies throughout the region. This senior leadership position emphasizes strategic oversight, talent development, and partnership building. • Set clear goals, provide strategic guidance, and mentor Regional Managers to promote professional growth. • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance across the region. • Identify, attract, and develop top talent through mentoring and succession planning. • Drive completion of training programs and foster continuous learning for all team members. • Cultivate strong relationships with ownership groups by understanding their objectives and delivering value‑added solutions. • Pursue new business opportunities by engaging clients and pinpointing potential acquisitions or service expansions. • Lead regional business reviews and represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and executive briefings. • Oversee daily operations and financial performance of the regional property portfolio. • Assist Regional Managers with budgeting, capital project reviews, and resolution of operational issues. • Identify improvement areas, implement process enhancements, and ensure consistent execution of company standards. • Leverage technology and best practices to increase service delivery efficiency. • Tailor communication style to internal teams, clients, or senior leadership and provide proactive performance updates. • Lead problem‑solving initiatives and encourage collaborative decision‑making. • Represent the organization professionally in public speaking and client engagements. • Champion superior customer service for residents and clients. • Promote innovative services, vendors, and systems to boost property performance and resident experience. • Act as a brand ambassador by engaging with local industry associations and strengthening community ties.

What You Bring

The role requires 25‑50 % travel for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business activities. This description outlines typical duties but may be adjusted as needed; additional responsibilities can be assigned at the supervisor’s request. • Hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent property‑management experience. • Possess experience as a Regional Manager in multifamily or student‑housing operations with a demonstrated record of team leadership and client satisfaction. • Demonstrate proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; certifications such as CAM, CAPS, or CPM are a plus.
