About the Role

The Service Manager role oversees timely servicing of both company‑owned and customer equipment. This position plans work schedules, coordinates service calls, manages parts inventory, and ensures equipment is ready for rent, returned, or serviced as needed. The manager also collaborates with vendors, trains mechanics, and handles warranty and safety compliance. • Leverage current skills while developing new ones • Manage repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment, including yard organization • Prepare work schedules and handle service calls to ensure equipment availability • Order parts to maintain adequate supplies • Train and assist staff mechanics • Collaborate with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements of new inventory • Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks • Document equipment status before and after rental • Address customer complaints about equipment condition or operation • Promote safety awareness • Perform quality control checks • Update and organize equipment service records • Create, update, close, and bill work orders • File warranty claims promptly • Commission new equipment • Manage parts ordering, returns, and inventory • Dispose of solid and hazardous waste (batteries, oil, filters, antifreeze, sludge) • Generate reports on service due, fleet status, work orders, warranties, inventory, finances, and performance metrics

What You Bring

• Hold a valid driver’s license • Extensive experience repairing and maintaining self‑propelled platforms and lifts • Knowledge of work planning, scheduling, and supervisory activities • Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements • Clear perspective on industry maintenance and repair issues • Experience in planning and management • Proficient with computers • Experience in reporting • Experience in inventory management
