About the Role
The role sits within capital delivery, collaborating with project teams and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver multiple water and water‑recycling projects under the AMP8 programme, adhering to the client’s governance procedures for risk, cost and change control. You will be accountable for managing the planning function on assigned projects or tenders, ensuring robust schedules are developed, monitored and controlled, and supporting teams to deliver medium to high‑complexity projects profitably, on time and in line with programme and business objectives. • Apply specific planning and scheduling methods, techniques, and tools. • Utilise earned value management and project controls methodologies. • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams and stakeholders. • Influence complex requirements and present analysis and corrective measures. • Direct and develop a team delivering planning and schedule management services. • Persuade clients to accept proposals and recommendations. • Complete tasks required to fulfil project or assignment requirements. • Collaborate toward net‑zero carbon transition and manage associated emissions. • Deliver on promises with high‑quality outcomes and long‑term client relationships. • Foster continuous improvement and support people to excel.

The position is based in Peterborough for 2‑3 days per week, and the successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Primavera P6. • Hold a degree in construction, engineering or an equivalent professional qualification. • Possess significant multi‑sector planning experience using Primavera P6 and schedule management techniques. • Demonstrate strong written communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to integrate programme, cost and risk data to ensure planning assurance and service excellence. • Prioritise safety and well‑being of the team.
