Cleaner, Part Time- 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Cleaner position is a part‑time, second‑shift role (5‑10 pm, Monday‑Friday) reporting to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor at C&W Services. The employee will perform a variety of custodial duties according to C&W’s standards, instructions, and procedures. Daily responsibilities include sweeping, mopping and washing interior floors and surfaces, operating commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, and vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas. The Cleaner also dusts furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures and performs periodic high‑dusting, cleans interior glass, windowsills and doors, and maintains restrooms by restocking supplies and performing thorough cleaning. Additional tasks involve collecting and disposing of building trash, replacing liners, and sweeping or shoveling snow from entrances and walkways as directed. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and surfaces. • Operate commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot clean and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and perform high‑dusting. • Clean interior glass, windowsills, doors, partitions, and specified windows. • Clean and restock bathrooms daily, including wiping glass, emptying waste, servicing dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, and reporting defects. • Collect building trash, replace liners in waste containers, and place waste in approved collection areas. • Sweep or shovel snow from building entrances and walkways as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as leather and wood surface polishing and wall washing.

What You Bring

The position does not require previous cleaning experience, but candidates must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team. Applicants should be comfortable using cleaning tools and equipment, such as backpack‑style vacuums, and demonstrate attention to detail, high energy, and physical endurance.

Benefits

Compensation for this role ranges from $14.45 to $17.00 per hour and will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, collective bargaining status, and market rates. The company guarantees at least minimum‑wage pay.
