About the Role
In this role, the Boilermaker will interpret blueprints, identify necessary tools, assess safety risks, fabricate and hoist equipment, verify alignment of structural members, and perform bolting, riveting, cutting, bending, and welding tasks as directed by supervisors. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine material quantities and locations. • Identify required tools for each task. • Assess safety risks and implement necessary precautions. • Fabricate equipment according to drawings or supervisor instructions. • Hoist equipment and tools using bull rigging or crane. • Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of steel members with plumb bobs, lasers, transits, or levels. • Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts per drawings. • Bolt aligned steel members for permanent fastening. • Position steel components for bolting by pulling, pushing, or prying. • Cut, bend, and weld steel pieces using shears, torches, and welding equipment.

What You Bring
ZACHRY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Industrial NCCER Boilermaker for the EXXONMOBILE Beaumont project in Beaumont, Texas. No per diem is offered for this position. The Journeyman Boilermaker will construct iron and steel structures to specifications, including work on a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and other miscellaneous structures. Candidates must have at least four years of NCCER Boilermaker experience, be able to meet all physical requirements, work at heights exceeding 300 ft, possess all required tools, and have reliable transportation. Preferred candidates are current or former Zachry employees with prior experience at Zachry Industrial, Inc., and must hold an NCCER Industrial Journeyman Carpenter certification along with formal technical education. The position demands extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting, with the ability to lift up to 50 lb. Workers must use fall protection when working at height and wear required personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, safety vest, gloves, and leather work boots. • Possess 4+ years of NCCER Boilermaker experience with exchanger work. • Hold NCCER Industrial Journeyman Carpenter certification. • Own required tools and maintain reliable transportation. • Capable of working at heights over 300 ft and lifting up to 50 lb. • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, vest, gloves, and leather boots.
