About the Role

The Senior Civil Project Manager will lead the expansion of Mott MacDonald’s transportation market in Louisiana, acting as the primary liaison for the Los Angeles County Department of Transportation (LADOTD) and supporting municipal clients throughout Greater New Orleans. • Serve as primary contact for LADOTD and municipal clients, ensuring high service satisfaction. • Drive growth of transportation design and CE&I services in Louisiana. • Identify and pursue new opportunities, lead proposal development and presentations. • Manage transportation and municipal infrastructure projects from planning to construction, meeting quality, schedule, and budget targets. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors for complex project delivery. • Implement risk management and ensure compliance with LADOTD standards. • Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, technically excellent team environment. • Support business development and resource planning with leadership to expand market footprint.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate thrives on building strong client relationships, mentoring junior staff, influencing market strategy and delivering resilient, sustainable infrastructure solutions that benefit southeast Louisiana communities. • Hold a Louisiana Professional Engineer (PE) license (or obtain within 6 months). • Possess 7+ years of transportation infrastructure experience, including roadway design or CE&I. • Demonstrated expertise with LADOTD processes and project delivery methods. • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams. • Strong client‑facing skills with a record of building lasting relationships. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Experience with municipal infrastructure (roadway, drainage, utilities) – preferred. • Familiarity with alternative delivery methods and DOT funding programs – preferred. • Business development experience and ability to lead strategic pursuits – preferred. • Prior mentorship of junior staff – preferred. • Hybrid work model requiring a minimum of three days on‑site for collaboration.
