About the Role
The Construction Engineer position in the MD/VA/DC region will manage planning, technical direction, administration, and construction of various projects. The role includes overseeing site inspections, ensuring work conforms to approved plans and specifications, and coordinating with operational departments to minimize impact on operations. • Manage and ensure construction follows approved plans and specifications through frequent site inspections • Perform substantial completion and final inspections; coordinate schedules to minimize operational impact • Monitor project performance against KPIs and the Project Quality Plan, providing regular reports to management • Review plans, specifications, and inspection procedures; recommend design changes and approve contractor payment requests • Support Safety and Quality Managers in enforcing compliance and attend project coordination and quality meetings • Prepare correspondence, progress and issue reports, and daily work reports; work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

What You Bring
• Travel as needed for out‑of‑state manufacturer inspections and factory acceptance testing • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience with at least 8 years directing construction projects • Project management experience and knowledge of WMATA jurisdiction laws, federal procurement regulations, and change order negotiations • Ability to complete WMATA RWP Certification within 30 days of hire • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, and risk‑assessment skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other engineering software • Valid D.C., Maryland, or Virginia driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work in confined spaces and flexible hours • Experience with radio and cellular infrastructure installation preferred

Benefits
The position offers a salary range of $100,900 to $176,600 and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, ESOP, 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays.
