About the Role

The Senior General Manager (SGM) is responsible for managing properties according to JLL standards, achieving financial results, operating objectives, and ensuring client and tenant satisfaction. The SGM works directly with clients to understand investment objectives, develops property‑specific strategic plans, and oversees implementation by managing the property team while maintaining strong communication with owners and tenants. Day‑to‑day duties include developing and implementing annual operating budgets and capital plans, providing timely monthly reporting, analyzing financial performance, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership. The role ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards, implements a tenant satisfaction program, oversees competitive bidding for third‑party services, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development. • Manage property portfolios in line with JLL standards and client investment objectives. • Develop and execute annual operating budgets, capital plans, and monthly financial reports. • Analyze performance data and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership. • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. • Implement tenant satisfaction programs and maintain regular communication with tenants. • Oversee competitive bidding and management of third‑party service contracts. • Foster continuous learning and professional development for the property team.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management or related field, at least seven years of progressive leadership experience in commercial real estate, proven P&L management in a multi‑million‑dollar operation, strong client relationship and business development skills, and solid financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Candidates must be proficient with real‑estate management software, CRM systems and Microsoft Office, and hold a valid real‑estate license or be able to obtain one within the specified timeframe. Preferred qualifications include a DC Real Estate License and Property Manager’s License within six months, professional certifications such as LEED GA, a strong network of industry relationships, and demonstrated thought leadership in real estate. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 7 years of leadership experience in commercial real estate. • Demonstrate P&L responsibility and achieve financial targets in multi‑million‑dollar operations. • Possess strong client relationship management and business development skills. • Maintain proficiency with real‑estate management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office. • Obtain or retain a valid real‑estate license (or acquire within required timeframe). • Preferred: DC Real Estate License, Property Manager’s License, LEED GA certification, and extensive industry network.

The position is onsite in Washington, DC with a salary range of $145,000‑$155,000 (estimated total compensation $174,000‑$186,000) and does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
