About the Role
In this role you will collaborate with the national vertical transportation team to manage design and engineering of systems across aviation, healthcare, education, and commercial projects. You will represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other team members, and oversee the supervision, coordination, and assignment of design work. • Work closely with the entire design team to maintain interdisciplinary coordination. • Monitor correspondence among staff, clients, contractors, and owners. • Prepare proposals and administer project contracts between Syska and the client. • Assume responsibility for the overall economic well‑being of assigned projects. • Participate in QA/QC processes for staff‑completed work. • Prepare vertical transportation analysis and perform system design calculations. • Select equipment for building systems and write related reports.

The position is open for offices in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas, Chicago, or Boston, with opportunities to lead projects and expand an external client base, including international pursuits. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 8–12 years of relevant vertical transportation experience, including elevator traffic analysis, design, and calculation software. Familiarity with Bluebeam or Adobe PDFs, MS Excel, and Word, as well as a solid understanding of system selection, applicable codes, and project management, is required. • Market capabilities to internal and external clients. • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • Possess 8–12 years of relevant vertical transportation experience. • Be familiar with PDF tools (Bluebeam or Adobe), MS Excel, and Word. • Have experience with elevator traffic analysis, design, and calculation software. • Understand proper system selection basics. • Exhibit thorough knowledge of applicable codes. • Demonstrate project management experience.
